- The Hatsumi route:
When MC first visits the world, according to his choices, he can earn in each of them one splinter of Eve... If he gets all of them before he touches Hazuki's "soulless body" (beginning of this page, he enters Hatsumi's story...
When he hears the Ken plushie talking, instead of being sent to Arcadia, he's sent back into Hazuki's memories: memories of her (happy) time with Hatsumi. This shows us Hatsumi was a VERY kind girl, adopting every single stray cat she would find... ^^;;;;;
It also shows us back then, Hazuki already met with the trolls (under a human appearance [more or less]) who were after Hatsumi and had to defeat them.
When he "wakes" up in Arcardia (just after those memories), Ken comes to him then suddenly disappear (just like in the no-Hatsumi routes), but this time, it's not Kogechibi who's left... but Hatsumi.
...who suddenly talks to MC (calling MC "Hazuki" BTW) and tells him they had to meet her older sister (and Joe :)). Even weirder, MC now has as male appearance (which he feels is his "true" one [in opposition to the female Hazuki appearance he had in the flasback]).
BTW, she explains she only has the "power" to talk in this world (because it is the place built by her sister).
Together they enter the Palace, which is, alas empty. Weirdly, when entering, MC has a vision of the body of a young girl laying there, in her blood...
They're suddenly interrupted by the arrival of the trolls! MC fight (successfully) them but is interrupted as Hatsumi is captured by Selene, who tries to blackmail him. But Hatsumi isn't afraid at all, as she feels her sister's "smell" (okay, aura/feeling) around Selene and just happily asks her where her sister is, bothering her so much MC is able to free Hatsumi from her.
Alas, Gargantua comes and MC is no match for him. Gargantua tries to make Hatsumi (well, "Jill") remembers him, and in the process turns her back into Kogechibi. As MC is trying to understand what is happening, Gargantua tries to understand who MC is to meddle with him and shred his face, turning him into Hazuki's female form. But Gargantua then feels another face under this one, and separates MC from Hazuki i.e. separating MC's Hunter form from Hazuki's soulless body.
From then, the story unfolds as in the non-Hatsumi routes.
Next difference happens when Lilith has MC/Koge takes over the Adam doll Here, she stays in control and they don't "go" far, Lilith not being able to stand that this Adam was just a doll...
And, of course, the ending is different.
In here, Koge stays with (mute :)) Hatsumi, in her world, wondering if he was Adam/Yami after all.
As for Hazuki, she couldn't stay with them (she WAS in love with her sister, so didn't want to be there with them), but rather asks Lilith to send her in the various book worlds. "I'm not fleeing", says she, "I just want to explore all the worlds Hatsumi went to"...
- The "No one" or "You missed everything, you dimwit!" route:
Obviously, in this route, you didn't get either the Lilith nor the Hatsumi events (which is, BTW, not hard; foremost in the second part of the game, where you can choose freely in which order you enter the worlds!).
So, of course, the ending is different.
In this ending, Hazuki is sent back in her world and forgets about everything... including Hatsumi.
As for Hatsumi, she takes over the Yami duty while leaving to her sister Lilith the management of Arcadia... Well, that's the plan, at least.
In truth, Lilith leaves all the work to Selene, while prefering to have fun and journey through the book worlds along with Ken and MC! ^^;;;;; She does so in her multiple SD forms, because they don't like the idea of merging together... >_<;;;;

- Some points I didn't talk about:
- During the whole game, Lilith seems to be envious/jealous of Eve, who's she think is responsible for Adam to have left her.
- "Souma" is the Universal Energy behind each living being and its source is Eve. It is to be noted that in the Hindu/Buddhism religion, "Soma has various definitions. Soma was the gods' ambrosia, for one. It was through this drink that the gods gained immortality. For mortals, the drink brought ecstasy. For warriors it took away fear, and for poets it was the spring of inspiration.
Soma was also a moon deity. The moon was said to hold the ambrosia, soma. Due to his association with the moon, Soma became associated with Chandra, the moon deity before him.
Soma was also a plant whose sap ran through the veins of all living things, both plant and animal."
Appropriate, right?
- Lilith: according to biblical resources, she's Adam first wife and the feminine dark side of the divine.
- Selene: technically, Selene is the Greek Goddess of the Full Moon. Together with Artemis and Hecate, she symbolizes the (dangerous) female sides: Artemis, the innocent proud virgin; Hecate, the old crone, owner of wisdom and magic; and Selene, the seductive and manipulative side. As such, she's similar to Lilith's "succubus" reputation.
- Gargantua: ogre, father of Pantagruel. Character of a book written in 1534 by Francois Rabelais, telling how Gargantua was teaching his son and exposing the Humanism ideas of Erasmus.
- Ken: his real name is Kendappa. It's harder to find info about him in the Internet, so here is a page. "Kendappa. Kendappa's Vedic equivalent would be Gandharvas. They were known for their horse, musical, and skill to cast illusions. It was the Gandharvas who protected Soma. They were also spirits of the mountains, air, and forests. They might also be attendants to devas."
